On March 16, 2026, the first personal exhibition of the People’s Artist of Azerbaijan, holder of the Order of Shohrati, Professor Arif Huseynov, “Novruz Carvings,” was held at the gallery of the Mirza Fatali Akhundov Museum of Azerbaijani Culture. The event was held within the framework of Novruz — a symbol of spring and renewal.
The exhibition was organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, the Mirza Fatali Akhundov Museum of Azerbaijani Culture, the Palazzo Mandrile — Azerbaijan-Italy Gallery, and the Baku Art Gallery. The exhibition presented both new and classic works of the artist, which simultaneously combine traditional Azerbaijani motifs and modern artistic approaches. Each work reflects national folklore, cultural wealth and the artist’s modern vision.
The event was attended by representatives of culture and public spheres, along with Georgian and Azerbaijani intelligentsia. In his speech, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev noted the importance of the exhibition in terms of strengthening cultural cooperation between the two countries and presenting Azerbaijani art on the international stage.
The artist’s works gave visitors not only visual pleasure, but also the spiritual atmosphere of the Novruz holiday. The exhibition is an important event for the cultural life of Tbilisi, which once again emphasizes that art is a bridge between peoples, combining tradition and modernity, national and universal values.
